After qualifying I worked in the NHS to get a sound experience in all aspects of general dentistry, including oral surgery. In 1992 I embarked upon a post graduate education in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Having completed hundreds of cosmetic cases and satisfied patients I felt challenges lay ahead in implant dentistry to restore missing teeth without having to cut down further teeth to restore them by bridges. The last 20 years have been devoted to intensive training courses here and in the USA in Implantology including certificate in Implantology with Dr Hilt Tatum father of implant dentistry.

I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2005 with a distinction in Oral Health. I have since completed a post graduate qualification in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. I have a special interest in cosmetic and computerised dentistry. I am one of a few UK graduates to have completed the entire essentials curriculum at the renowned Pankey Institute in the USA and I have used this knowledge to complete numerous other post graduate training in Cerec technology and same day smile makeovers. Providing patients with the care and clinical guidance when choosing a treatment plan is the most important stage. Allowing patients to make informed decisions about treatments to access the long term benefits is why I love my job.

Since qualifying he has centred his learning on advanced restorative dentistry, orthodontics and occlusion, having completed the Pankey Institute's Essentials Programme representing almost 200 hours of post graduate training in Miami, USA. He is currently completing a Master's degree in orthodontics and regularly attends orthodontic courses throughout the country. This allows multidisciplinary treatment planning such as pre-prosthetic and pre-implant orthodontics to be a straight forward process.
