Westmount Dental Surgery – Jarrow

Qualified from Newcastle Dental School in 2004 and was recruited as a General Professional Trainee immediately for two years working in the Dental Hospital alongside Consultants and Specialists. During this period, Ash developed an interest in aesthetic and implant dentistry and enrolled on a one year hands on course in Dental Implantology. This further cemented his interest in this field and he has since enrolled in studying both Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry and Implant Dentistry at Masters Level from University of Central Lancashire and Warwick University respectively.Ash took over as principal dentist at Westmount Dental Surgery in January 2008 after working for two years as an associate at a high profile Implant and Cosmetic Practice. He has since developed Westmount Dental Surgery into a modern and technologically advanced practice which caters for all clients. Offering NHS dentistry as well as complex restorative and implant procedures in a warm and chic environment is what Ash believes is the future of dentistry. He strives for perfection in all aspects of dentistry and feels postgraduate education is the key to providing healthy, natural smiles with minimal invasion.Ash is also a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as the Association of Dental Implantology and regularly attends seminars and courses to develop his skill levels. He has also helped lecture young, upcoming dentists in both routine and cosmetic dental procedures and was part of a team training general dental practitioners in Dental Implantology.

Charlotte believes in the highest standard of care and is at the forefront of our Oral Health Promotion where we encourage preventative care of teeth and gums for all our patients. She has successfully managed several severe periodontal cases and also carries cosmetic air polishing techniques which are extremely sought after procedures. She also carries out oral hygiene tutorials for children under the age of 16 as we believe good habits early on are the key to healthy teeth and gums for the future.

Matt graduated from Newcastle University in July 2012 and joined Westmount Dental Surgery in August 2013. During his time at university, Matt won multiple awards for restorative and paediatric dentistry.His interests include restorative dentistry, especially tooth-coloured composite materials allowing him to provide aesthetic, life-like restorations whilst being minimally invasive.Matt is keen to train further in restorative and implant dentistry in the near future.Since joining Westmount Dental Surgery,"Westmount is a great practice to be part of.
