Wyndham House Dental Practice

Having grown up in Llantwit Major, this historic town in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan was the obvious location for Simon to open his Implant and General Dental Practice.  The town also provided the springboard for Simon’s professional rugby career and he went on to play for Cardiff and won 12 caps for Wales.  Simon is still very much involved in rugby in the local community, coaching the Llantwit Major RFC Under 19 team.Simon qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 1996 and has gone on to build up a very successful general practice. He developed his skills in providing the highest standard of aesthetic dentistry  before concentrating on the placement and restoration of dental implants. He has completed the Diploma in Implantology with the Royal College of Surgeons; the UK’s gold standard qualification in dental implants and has an advanced certificate in hard tissue augmentation.  Simon has over 8 years experience placing implants and implant retained restorations,  ranging from simple tooth replacement to complex full mouth rehabilitation. He is a fully trained sedationist and also  lectures and acts as a mentor for other dentists interested in developing their skills in implantology. Simon also is a trainer for newly qualified dentists whom he mentors at Wyndham House during their initial year of practicing dentistry.

Originally from Yorkshire, Oliver qualified from Liverpool Dental School in 2001. He remained in the North West of England for 5 years completing over 500 hours of Continuing Profession Development in many areas of dentistry. He moved to the Vale of Glamorgan in 2006 when he joined the practice in Llantwit Major.  He has a special interest in Cosmetic and Aesthetic dentistry from simple tooth whitening procedures to complete ‘Smile Makeovers’. He enjoys all aspects of Restorative Dentistry be it single unit crowns or full mouth rehabilitation cases to restore a completely worn dentition. Since 2003, Oliver has used dermal fillers and [Treatment name removed]s to perform non-surgical facial rejuvenation.  He is currently enrolled on a programme with the California Centre for Advanced Dental Studies untertaking further training in complex Smile Enhancements.  Oliver is a sustained full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

The latest addition to our Practice, Associate Dentist Simon Stokes is settling in well.  His arrival has created quite a stir locally and as word has spread so his popularity has increased and his appointment book is now becoming extremely busy.  Simon originally comes from County Limerick in Ireland and his previous experience has been in both hospital and private and NHS practices in Ireland and Scotland.  Since relocating to South Wales in August 2011 Simon has become engaged to be married and lives with his fiancé in CardiffHere at Wyndham House Simon is currently seeing a mixture of patients both within and outside the NHS. He is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry, offering patients a wide range of treatments including tooth whitening, ceramic crowns, veneers, bridge-work and high-end dentures. Alongside this Simon is delivering general dentistry such as replacing amalgam fillings with more aesthetic composite (white) solutions. Simon has a proactive approach to preventative dentistry and is especially dedicated to working with our hygienists to promote good oral hygiene practise with the children registered at the Practice.
