The Hertfordshire Centre for Dentistry

Russell is the principal dentist here at the Hertfordshire Centre for Dentistry having been in practice for over thirty years, both here in Harpenden and Wimpole Street, London. He is now concentrating on ensuring the practice provides the quality treatment patients desire but in a practice that remains relaxed and friendly. He has gained extensive knowledge and experience in restorative, cosmetic dentistry and is also a registered specialist in root canal work.

Michael has one of the most successful implant practices in the country but owing to the long-standing professional relationship with Russell he helped to establish THE HERTFORDSHIRE CENTRE FOR DENTISTRY as a centre of excellence. His expertise and knowledge are recognised throughout the world and besides lecturing and publishing research; he is visiting professor at Marquette University and associate editor for the prestigious Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants.

Laurence qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital, London in 1978 and after spent some time as a Senior House Officer in the oral surgery department at the hospital, he went into general practice where he has a special interest in oral surgery and implant dentistry. Gaining vast experience in that field of dentistry he joined the practice and has been a member of our team for over fifteen years.

Tessa has been our hygienist for over twenty five years and has developed a loyal following of patients who have often said ‘they would not want to see another hygienist’. Although gentle in treatment she will achieve the desired result. Tessa has great experience in working with nervous or anxious patients and also is in close collaboration with the periodontist in carrying out the prescribed treatment programme.

Will Murphy graduated from The University of Birmingham in 1991 and has practiced in the city ever since. He has a special interest in Implant Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry. Will plays an active role in post graduate education and is currently tutoring candidates for their Membership exams at the Royal College of Surgeons.
