Tewkesbury Dental

(GDC number 68480) Dr Vrajesh Ruparelia is the principal dentist and owner at Tewkesbury Dental. He is an experienced general and cosmetic dental surgeon and a member of the British Dental Association. He graduated in dentistry at the United Medical Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 1992, winning the Ronald Gain Prosthetics Prize, after receiving an honours degree in physiology from the University of Liverpool in 1988. Vrajesh joined a practice in Herefordshire for his vocational training year and won the Dudley Road Hospital Best Case presentation award, and in 1994 he joined a dental practice in Tewkesbury. In 1997 he set up Tewkesbury Dental in a former estate agents and his thriving private clinic providing general dentistry and skin rejuvenation treatments has become an established local business, with Vrajesh going on to train doctors and dentists in facial aesthetics.

As practice manager, Karen oversees the smooth running of the practice. A graduate of St Andrews University in Scotland, she initially worked in business development in the UK and France. She then spent 10 years in Beijing working in the dairy sector and as HR director in an international school. Karen is studying for her CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resources and enjoys ferrying her two teenage children around to their activities as well as cooking, jogging and gardening. She speaks French, Spanish and Mandarin.

Alison joined our reception team in 2006 and prides herself on being an efficient and productive member of the Tewkesbury Dental team. She will often be the first point of contact when you visit us and is also responsible for documentation and monitoring practice systems. She previously worked in hospitality, leisure and tourism and specialised in aromatherapy and massage, and when not working here Alison can be found at her own massage clinic in Tewkesbury alongside her partner who is a chiropractor. Alison loves travelling to quirky places, English history, and food and drink.

Hannah is our registered dental nurse at Tewkesbury Dental and joined the team in June 2015 after working at a practice in Worcester. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2012 and is enjoying working in a fully private practice where she can give patients the very best quality care. She spends her spare time reading, going for country walks, eating out and socialising with friends and family. She enjoys staying fit and healthy and regularly swims and attends exercise classes. In addition, she likes to experiment with cooking healthy and exciting food, enjoys traveling and has recently visited Morocco and Iceland.
