Duncan Smith Dental

Duncan, originally from Dundee, qualified at Dundee University in 1985. He is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and regularly attends courses to keep up to date.As founder of the practice and the principal dentist, Duncan is committed to its continued development and to providing the most effective solutions on all aspects of dental health. His particular interests are in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and dental implants.

GDC no. 78024Alison comes from Glasgow and qualified in the year 2000 from Dundee University. Upon graduating, Alison joined us for her two years General Professional Training and has remained as an associate since then.

Ryan hails from Garvagh, Northern Ireland and graduated from Belfast University in the year 2000. He spent some time working in private practice in Cambridge before joining us in June 2003. One of his particular areas of expertise is in endodontics.

Fiona is originally from Aberdeen and qualified from Glasgow University in 1996. Upon qualifying, Fiona worked in Glasgow for three years before heading through to Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and endodontics. Her other interests include travel, running, golf and art.........she is also a pretty good saxophonist! Fiona also has two gorgeous young children who keep her busy the majority of the time.

Fraser graduated from Dundee University in 2011 and worked in General Dental Practice in the Grampion region before moving to Musselburgh. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has been described as very caring and gentle. Fraser has travelled extensively to many parts of the world such as Sweden, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, America and Mexico and has been able do a free fall parachute jump and a bungee jump among a host of other memorable experiences. In his free time he enjoys keeping physically fit by participating in a variety of sports and has completed half marathons and a full marathon, however he finds the variety of the cross country obstacle courses in Tough Mudders more enjoyable. Fraser is also a keen squash player and indoor climber.

Stanley graduated from Belfast University in 1977 and worked in practice in Northern Ireland before moving to general practice in Central Edinburgh, where he remained for 20 years. Outside of dentistry Stanley's interests include reading and music. He is also an accomplished singer and used to sing with a group who performed regularly on local TV and radio.
