Hartley Dental

Business Manager. He joined us in July 2015 as our Business Manager. He brings with him 10 years of experience from the private sector where he’s taken on various operational and management roles. In his role as business manager, he will oversee the operational side of the practice and its day to day running including finance management, HR management, recruitment, compliance and patient satisfaction surveys and analysis. When he’s not busy ensuring the smooth running of the practice, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and playing as much sport as his body will allow, mainly rugby and football!

BDS(U.Birm), LDSRCS(Eng.) 1990 – GDC number: 65235. He has worked at Hartley for over ten years, buying the practice in 2003. He believes in patient led care, offering advice and information at all stages of treatment. He really enjoys helping our clients achieve great dental health providing high quality dental care and using a combination of up to date knowledge from new courses and his experience! He particularly enjoys cosmetic fillings and porcelain work as well as root canal work. More recently he has followed the Assure course in orthodontics and provides aesthetic/cosmetic braces for adults. When not busy at the practice Charlie also does consulting work for 3M dental helping develop new products. In his time off he is a keen sailor, mountain biker and walker.

GDC number: 5894. He oined Hartley Dental in May 2014 after completing 23 years of service in the Royal Navy. Whilst in the Armed Forces Dean worked at various Dental Centres in the UK and abroad, providing dental hygiene therapy to services personnel and their families. He also qualified as a dental nurse and dental hygienist tutor at the militaries’ Dental Training School in Aldershot. He provides treatments and advice to prevent dental problems, he is particularly interested in the treatment of periodontal disease (gum disease) and takes great pleasure in improving his customers health and smile.
