This dental clinic is well known in Buxton in Derbyshire for the high standards of dental treatments and high quality patient care. We are proud to say that 95% of our new patients are from referrals through existing patients of our dental practice. Dr Tony CowanPrincipal Dentist BDS MSc GDC No. 62558 He qualified from Manchester University in 1987, obtaining his MSc from the same university in 1991. He originally started the practice in 1989 when it was situated on Lightwood Road. He has been involved in many research projects within both Manchester and Birmingham Universities, and to date is a co-author of 33 research papers, some of which he has presented at conferences both in the UK and abroad.

Dr Neil AustinDentist BDS GDC No. 67771 He is an experienced, forward thinking dentist, committed to providing high quality dental care for his patients. After graduating from Sheffield University in 1992 and completing a further years’ vocational training, Neil practised in Sheffield, Kingsbridge (South Devon) and Worksop before becoming a partner at Lightwood Dental Care in 2003. This has allowed him to acquire a broad experience on a wide variety of clinical techniques.

Mrs Melanie ButlerDental Auxiliary GDC No. 5077 She qualified in 1996 from the Eastman Dental Hospital, London and has worked in both corporate and general practice situations in the UK and abroad. She is a regular participant of meetings with the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
