Henleaze Dental Practice has been established for over 60 years. Dr Mark Haseltine purchased the practice in May 2001 following the retirement of the previous principal. Dr Susan Lavington joined the practice as an associate in June 2003 and Dr Laura Birch joined in January 2016. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive range of high quality dental care as well as a full preventative programme in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. When you register as a patient a full medical history will be taken to ensure your safety. Your initial consultation will include recordings of the condition of your teeth and gums. Xrays are usually taken as it is essential to know exactly what is going on beneath the gum line and inside the teeth. Any treatment required will be discussed along with the options available. A printed, detailed treatment plan together with an estimate will be given. For the best possible service and optimum health we advise a full examination every six months for most people. At your regular visits we would include a full oral screen for any signs of disease or general illnesses, including oral cancer.

Dr Mark HaseltineOral Surgeon Mark qualified from Bristol University in 1989 and worked as an associate in general practice before opening his own practice in Henleaze. He is committed to his continuing professional development and to providing the most effective solutions to every aspect of dental health. Dr Susan LavingtonOral Surgeon Susan qualified from Bristol University in 1985 and has worked as an associate in general practice as well as at the Bristol Dental Hospital. Susan is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry and would be happy to discuss any concerns you may have about the appearance of your teeth.GDC No. 59346

Dr Laura BirchDentist Laura graduated from University of Bristol in 2011 and then completed her vocational training in Exeter. Laura has a particular interest in root canal procedures and cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and is fully trained in the 'Six Month Smiles' orthodontic system. Laura is a member of the British Dental Association, British Endodontic Society and The Society of Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.GDC No. 209489

Ms Sharon AllenDental Auxiliary Sharon qualified as a dental hygienist in 1991 and has worked in hospital, NHS and private dentistry.She has been an active member of her professional association both at regional and national level. Mrs Sue RobertsDental Auxiliary Sue qualified as a dental hygienist in 1990 from Kings College Hospital. Sue has extensive experience in the prevention and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease and has a very caring attitude towards her patients.GDC No. 3869

Mr Adam TaylorDental Auxiliary Adam qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2012. Since qualifying he has gained experience in a number of different dental settings and has a strong emphasis on prevention during appointments. Mrs Helen HaseltinePractice Manager Having moved to Bristol to work for the Pirbic Organisation, Helen then travelled to Bermuda working for the Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Bank of Bermuda, Private Banking. On her return to Bristol she purchased Henleaze Dental Practice in 2001 with husband Mark, where she manages the day to day running and all business aspects of the Practice.
